Scan fun ride experience #4

The Bone scan🦴

Sloths are faster. Seriously.

But let me start from the beginning.

For the bone scan, one must get the infusion 3 hours in advance, in order for it to spread within them bones, so your skeleton can light up in the machine. So, at 9 am I got (eventually) needle-d up and then went off to wait for 12 o’ clock. At that time I had (again) to drink a litre of water and then pee as much as possible (my bladder is working overtime with these scans, I am fully aware🤪)

And then back in the room with my buddy the donut, only this time there was a flat sort of screening device attached above the bed where I am supposed to lie down. The radiologist explained that this screen will come close, but not touch me🙅‍♀️

So, I lie flat on the bed and stay still, while the radiologist started to fiddle with the remote control to adjust both the bed and the screen and make sure that when it zooms over me and scans me, it indeed won’t touch me.

So as she was adjusting it over my face, she then realised that my boobs are actually higher than my nose when lying down, so she had to start all over again… (screaming internally🥲)

And then the scan begun.

Or at least I was told it begun…?

I kept wanting to check if that thing was moving, but I’m not allowed to move.

It. Was. Sooooooo. Slow.

And when I thought it was over they readjusted it so it could circle the chest area.

Again.

Very.

Slooooooowly 🦥

1 out of 5 stars. I’m a very patient person, but this one got to me. The 1 star is because it came back clear🎊

Pic of my supersuit!

(well… more my supersuit pyjamas, but they are still cool!)🦸‍♀️
