Another chemo day and feeling like a zombie that hasn’t had brains in a while (and no I don’t feel like eating any brains, but if that happens I’ll give a fair warning… hopefully 😅)

Here I am to focus on a side effect that I hadn’t heard and I also wasn’t told about much: spots all over your body😬 You hear mostly about the hair loss, weight loss or gain, the tummy troubles and explosions, nausea and general sicky-ness…

They warned me that my immune system is taking a hit that would knock out the X-men, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers, the Justice League and the Jedis and probably Gandalf would let it pass and Voldermort wouldn’t waste a Horcrux on me and Vecna would not bother… (did I geek out enough?)😏🤭

For my skin I was told that I need to watch out for the sun and use higher sunscreen and avoid pools because of chlorine and that it would generally be dry and to hydrate. No one mentioned spots and pimples and general acne😐😧 All over the body! 😵‍💫

This happened with the heatwave: while I couldn’t feel the heat, my body still would sweat and then I got heat spots. And they aren’t itchy… they sting!!! They be nasty and I’m paying for the fact that as a teenager I had very few spots on my forhead and chin, but generally didn’t suffer from acne…🤪

Anyway, I am (now) thankful that all of my children had diaper rashes and my youngest had the 6th disease (you get a rash that is stingy and uncomfortable all over your body for a couple of days) and I knew and tried the remedy I did with them: corn flour😅 it has helped and has soothed my skin and my spots are way less and no longer avenging my fellow school mates who used to have a face with two eyes and boils and got annoyed with me🙃

However I now want to bake and eat cookies…😋
