Little update on this insta account.

It started so I could update most in one go, then it helped with writing out my general turmoil of emotions that come with a cancer journey while adding a humorous and sarcastic twist without getting judged (because I can and because I dare you!).

But also due to the following experience: when I first heard I had IBC, I searched the Internet of course and got Dr.DoomGoogle with the statistics and the outdated research. Then I searched for survivor stories and got a few adverts promoting breast cancer treatments. So I turned to social media to look for my people. And I found a few groups💕

We are many. And our problems are real: some of us have children and are terrified of leaving them behind. Some haven’t even had the chance to start a family. Some didn’t want a family but had planned adventures. Most were told they were too young to have cancer (not my case). Some were misdiagnosed for months and the cancer spread (so so thankful that was not my case: everyone went on high alert the minute my GP saw me). Some just beginning the cancer journey, some just finishing, some, like me, in it for the long run💪

We are many. And we need success stories. And we need to hear about the ones who crossed over. About the fight. About the after and the trauma. About the fact that we are not alone. One post can give that support that’s needed at the right moment.

Therefore, I’m making this account public so anyone can follow (or not) and read my story and maybe, hopefully, I can offer a mental and an emotional cuddle out there.

If you have made comments that you would like to delete or stop following because you want to keep your own accounts private, go for it. I completely understand and there are no hard feelings❤️

But feel free to share this account with anyone you know who might need this. I know I needed it. Some stories were enough to get out of the dark and take the necessary breath to take the next step. And most times, that’s just enough!

Pic of my powerful Harry Potter earrings from a long time friend that I have to one day meet up with to drink Greek/Turkish (the debate is still open) coffee☕️💗
