😋you get to see what you look like with short hair and then bald (still trying to get there actually… some hairs on my scalp are being clingy)
🥚you get to see the shape of your head. I always thought I was round. But I have a perfect egg shape and it’s beautiful!
😁you don’t need to shave. Full stop.
🤑you save on shampoo! (as many beloved bald friends of mine have pointed out!)
🙃there is something glorious about washing your head with any soap and feeling that smooth skin and finally giving those follicles that deep massage they couldn’t enjoy because of the mane of hair you had
😴you are sleepy all the time and people LET you sleep because you need to rest. These people are everyone! Family, friends, coworkers, managers, doctors… you finally have the golden free pass to sleepy land guilt free!
😏everyone attends to you. You just sit like a sultan and ask for things and they are brought to you! (Hoping that one of the superpowers I develop will be to just think of what I want and then receive it)
📚you finally catch up on all the books you meant to read
😇you get away with all the cancer jokes, because, well, you have a right to make them!
🤔because you’re skin is paler usual you get to see that your face is nothing but freckles!
🌦because of joint, muscle and bone pain, you can tell when the weather is going to change
🌡heatwaves don’t affect you, you’re sitting with a cover over them knees because there is a cold breeze in the 30 degrees Celsius
🎃with Halloween in 2 months, your children get to come up with ideas of what to dress you up as: Jack Skellington, an actual pumpkin head, anyone of the minions, Gru (they thankfully pointed out it’s because I’m bald, they will make me a pointy nose) and Mike Wazowski (green round fella with one eye from Monsters INC) have so far made the list…
👒you get to experiment with all hats and caps and headscarves and discover that you might have been missing out on a style that suits you
